a composition.

Once upon a time, there was a family that lived in a big city. The father was a very successful businessman, and the mother acted and modeled part-time. They had a son whom they loved very much. Everything was perfect.

If you believe that real families are anything like the ones in the fairy tales you read when you were young, you're wrong. Parents might start out being kings and queens to their children, but they don't always stay that way. No one can say exactly why, or what happens. All we know is that one day the children live in a castle, and the next day, it's a dungeon. And nobody says why. And everybody acts like it's your fault.

But you didn't do anythoing. You just woke up one day and your parents weren't there anymore. Instead of the good, kind queen, there's a wicked one. The king's throne has been taken over by someone else.

What can you do? You'r only a kid. You could run away, but where would you go? You could tell someone, but who would listen?

So you sit in your room and you hope. You hope that things will change. You hope that your mother and father will come back someday. That those other people who look like them and talk like them will leave you alone until then.

But you can't keep hoping forever. Because hope is something that you run out of. And once it's gone, it may never return. Like your parents.
